Argiano Brunello di Montalcino 2009
Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyFrom the cellar. Another difficult year that required some manipulation, in this case the ’09 was put in barrique to further concentrate the fruit. A mix of floral tones and black fruit with a structure more akin to Napa Valley versus Tuscany. Still complex but with firm tannins that will need a bit more time to pull itself together a good but not great Brunello.
