Roche Nuances 2019

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaDrawing on her six generations of viticulture and winemaking at Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion in Bordeaux, Pénélope and Dylan Roche have created Nuances, a blend of 54% merlot, 24% cabernet sauvignon, and 22% cabernet franc fermented in stainless before ageing 12 months in French oak (10% new). The fruit comes off Kozier Organic Vineyard on the Naramata Bench, as well as Suncerest vineyard on the northern outskirts of Oliver. Fragrant raspberry, tight cherry roll along a silken palate, with rhubarb strung tannins tightening this through a subtly spiced finish. Far more Okanagan than Bx, this is ready for enjoying now, ideally with wild mushroom / pork or poultry dishes.Tasted: 11 February 2023Tasted by: Prices:
