Roche Nuances 2017

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada2017 Nuances blends cabernet franc, merlot, and cabernet sauvignon from their Naramata estate as well as further south, with one year in French oak (10% new) before bottling unfined and unfiltered. Now 4 years on, this remains a powerful blend, with roasted espresso, dark earth, smoked blackcurrant, studded with rock salts, and housed with big, grippy / sticky tannins. Fortunately, acidity is lofted, and there's a perfumed plum note that lures through the stony finish. Drinking well now, ideally with steak or grilled mushrooms.Tasted: 06 June 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
