Bartier Bros. Syrah Cerqueira Vineyard 2020
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom the heralded Cerqueira Vineyard, this syrah was destemmed and crushed in an oak tank, with 15% whole clusters, over 21 days. It then rested 16 months in neutral 225L oak barrels, plus the oak tank. The ripe, plump palate carries rich blackberries, black cherries, dusky plum, structured with time in wood, but smoothed through the core, with a bristling brushing of tannins and bright stony acidity. The warming finish is dotted with peppercorns and kissed by violet.
