Bartier Bros. Syrah Cerqueira Vineyard 2013

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA fragrant spice box of five spice, star anise and black pepper opens this fuller Cerqueira Vineyard syrah, lingering through the finish. Along the way, thorny wild blackberry, ripe black cherry, sweet tobacco, bittersweet cocoa and dried herbs permeate the palate, one that showcases the southern Okanagan ripeness, tempered with a lift of acidity. Worcestershire conquers the finish, one heavy only by its hefty bottle weight. Tannins are ripe and grippy/ropey, a reflection of the wine's youth, and will soothe with time in your cellar or pairing with steak frites now.Tasted: 24 March 2016Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
