Bartier Bros. Syrah Cerqueira Vineyard 2020
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaBartier Syrah is grown at Cerqueira Vineyard, which surrounds the winery on the unofficial GI, which Bartier calls the Black Sage Gravel Terrace. Winemaker Michael Bartier’s raison d’etre in winemaking is capturing as much of the vineyard nuances as he can and getting them in the bottle. Hence, a lush but slick syrah, awash in floral, savoury black and blue fruits with a scrubby, mineral finish. It often appears to be drinkable on release but don’t be fooled. It will go the distance in the bottle safe and secure under screwcap.
