La Soeur Cadette Juliénas 2019

Juliénas, Beaujolais Villages, Beaujolais, Burgundy, FranceBorn into a family of vignerons, Valentin Montenay sources grapes from across Bourgogne and Beaujolais for his negociant La Soeur Cadette wines. Valentin wanted to highlight the lesser-seen Juliénas cru in this bright and joyous red. This blends two sites, one on blue granite and one on sandy soils, with vines averaging 70 years. This was whole cluster fermented in stainless and then into older barrels for 8-10 months’ rest. Red flowers, red currants, and rhubarb stream through this medium-bodied red, housed with fine, sticky tannins and lifted by an easy buoyant acidity. Friendly and characterful Bojo to enjoy now and over the short term. #GoGamayGo.Tasted: 30 August 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
