Gold Hill Cabernet Franc 2017
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Gold Hill flagship wine doesn't disappoint. It is a power red with a big aromatic tobacco leaf nose supported by dried, crushed leaves, black plums, sagebrush and vanilla. The palate is equally intense with black raspberries, tobacco, lightly gritty tannins, and a long, spicy black licorice and baking spice finish. This wine is a long way from the finish line, so it's lamb now or another five to seven years in the bottle. Well done.Tasted: 13 August 2022Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $42.99 | 750ml | winery direct, VQA wine shops |
