Gold Hill Cabernet Franc 2015

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2015 Cabernet Franc is a single-vineyard offering sourced from the home block, Gold Hill Estate Vineyard, in the Okanagan Valley just south of Oliver. The attack is pure and juicy cabernet franc with a near-perfect varietal nose of black cherries and leafy, freshly turned loam notes. It’s just under 16 percent alcohol, but you don’t feel it given its fresh, deliciously juicy, bloody black fruit and savoury undertones. A crowd-pleaser that speaks to the special nature of south Okanagan cabernet Franc. It is aged in 100% French oak barrels for 18 months and then gets an extra and important, 24-plus months in the bottle before release. Drink with bold menu items now or hold for a decade; you will love it either way.Tasted: 24 July 2020Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
