Mayhem Riesling 2021
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom Naramata's Garagan Vineyard, and 18 year old clone 21B vines, this was whole bunch pressed and fermented cool in stainless, stopped after 3 weeks to hold the RS around 15 g/L. It then aged on lees for 6 months in stainless and neutral French puncheons prior to blending and bottling. Very fragrant, with lush florals, peach blossoms, white peach, apricot filling a creamy, plump palate. The RS gives an easy friendliness to this, countered by some lime sherbet that rings on the brief finish.
