Tommasi Valpolicella Ripasso 2018

Veneto, ItalyIt's been a while since I have seen this label and at first blush, the winemaking looks much improved. The nose is dry but fresh with florals, balsamic, and menthol. The palate opens with the intensity of the ripasso style, offering blackcurrants and baking spices and silky, easy, sipping textures that carry long into the finish. Think grilled beef or game as main course dishes, or you can serve it with a piece of mature cheese. Tommasi is located in Pedemonte village in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico region, on a small amount of land in the northwest part of Verona, between the Lessini mountains and their plains near Lake Garda.Tasted: 11 April 2022Tasted by: Prices:
