Veneto, ItalyThe "ripasso" Valpolicella is supercharged with a refermentation on the Amarone skins. Look for a much richer spicier nose with smoky, gamy notes and rich raisiny, plummy fruit flecked with leather, liquorice pepper and black fruit flavours. Fairly warm balanced with a savoury finish. Supple with light, velvety tannins.
