Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2019
Burgundy, FranceThis family has been cultivating vines for more than 8 generations, since approximately 1620. Today they cultivate 30 hectares of vines across 35 appellations. This pinot noir is from vines 28-55 years, on stony limestone clays. It spent 15 months in older barrels. It opens with an alluring forest berry note, bolstered by plum, crunchy blackberry, and perfumed with a purple floral note. Tannins are long and lightly sticky, taking this to a tart, lightly warming finish. Simple and ready to crack now.Tasted: 31 March 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret Savigny-Les-Beaune 1er Cru Les Narbantons 2018Michel Prunier et Fille CĂ´teaux Bourguignons 2019
