Michel Prunier et Fille Côteaux Bourguignons 2019

Burgundy, FranceFrom villages around Auxey-Duresses, this blend of 85% Pinot Noir, 15% Gamay grows on cool, stony calcarious clay soils, facing north west, and from vines 41 years old. The destemmed grapes were fermented in stainless, before resting in older wood barrels for 13 months. Fragrant plum, cherry, and raspberry rule the slight palate, housed by long, finely sticky tannins through to the salted finish. The gamay gives this an easy friendliness, and propensity for drinking now.Tasted: 30 March 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
