Ken Wright Cellars Guadalupe Vineyard Pinot Noir 2016

Willamette Valley, Oregon, United StatesThe Guadalupe Vineyard is the last vineyard on the eastern edge of Yamhill-Carlton, straddling the border with Dundee Hills. The vineyard was planted in 1989 on a mix of volcanic basalt and sedimentary soils, and this wine blends Wadensvil, Pommard, 115, 777 clones, and an equal number of yeast strains in fermentation, prior to heading to French barrels (20% new) for 10 months, followed by 4 years bottle aging. Tight and wrung with VA, followed by sour cherry, baked rhubarb, black currant on a medium-bodied, lightly grippy palate.Tasted: 09 June 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
