Fort Berens Riesling 2020
British Columbia, CanadaIn contrast to their Dry Riesling, this has a couple more g/L, at 9.3. This too came from different vineyards: Kelowna, Vernon, and their estate Lillooet site. It was fermented in stainless, with ferment halted by cooling when the desired sweetness was reached. Juicy and bright with lychee, honey crisp apple, white grapefruit, green hedge, with a hint of passionfruit on the snappy finish. This reminds me more of sauvignon blanc than riesling somehow, but fits the bill as a juicy, fragrant and bright white for cracking now with fragrant Thai dishes.Tasted: 29 June 2021Tasted by: Prices:BC | $19.99 | 750ml | winery online/direct, select private retailers, grocery |
