Tantalus Blanc de Noir 2018

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Old Vines Riesling Brut is made from a single block of only a few rows of 1978 heritage plantings that returns to the lineup in 2018 but sadly with only a 50 case production count. A small amount of the free run juice is split€ during fermentation and cooled down to arrest and ferment. This base wine spends 22 months in bottle before disgorgement and a 5 g/L dosage from the Old Vines Riesling. The wine has a very pretty pale salmon colour. The palate is an elegant affair with subtle aromas of smoke, lemon, and pineapple with a desert mineral salty back end. Lean and stylish, this is a winner. This wine continues to be a delight to drink and one of the best Blanc de Noirs made on the continent.Tasted: 30 April 2021Tasted by: Prices:
