Tantalus Blanc de Noir 2017
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis wine looks pretty with a pale salmon colour, and tastes even prettier. It’s made from a single block of clone 93 pinot noir, fermented in barriques and puncheons with native yeast. After six months' rest, it is transferred to bottle, where it spends another 22 months on lees. The up front palate is svelte with tight acidity and fresh plummy fruit before creamy lees and mineral salts set in to ride the long finish. Just a delight to drink and one of the best North American Blanc de Noirs I can remember tasting. At disgorgement, the dosage is 6 g/L of the Tantalus 2017 Pinot Noir still wine.Tasted: 27 April 2020Tasted by: Prices:BC | $27.83 | 750ml | winery online, select private retailers |
