Vinho Verde, Northern Portugal, PortugalPonte de Lima is the oldest town in Portugal, and home to this co-op, founded in 1959. It now has 2000 growers, and an 11.5M L production. This loureiro comes from Lima's granitic sandy loams, and underwent some skin contact before a cooler ferment, and 3 months aging on lees. Bitter lime, floral peach, cold cream, pear blossom rule the sleek, lighter palate, with a faint grip through the middle to an astringent grapefruit finish.
