Vinho Verde, Northern Portugal, PortugalPonte de Lima is the oldest town in Portugal, and home to this co-op, founded in 1959. It now has 2000 growers, and an 11.5M L production. This loureiro comes from Lima's granitic sandy loams, and underwent some skin contact before a cooler ferment, and 3 months aging on lees. Tight, light, and lean, with a noticable spritz livening green apple, white peach blossoms, elderflower, grapefruit peel, and lime rind. This is an early pick of loureiro, showing subtle hints of the grape's characteristic florality.
