Jean-Paul & Benoit Droin Chablis 2018

Chablis, Burgundy, FranceThis winery has been passed from father to son without pause since 1620. Benoît is the 14th generation, working with his father Jean-Paul on their 26 hectares in Chablis, all managed lutte raisonée. This was fermented wild, aged on fine lees without battonage, and spent 8-10 months in tank on lees. Tight and lean, even with the warm 2018 vintage, this streams along the palate with stony minerality, lemon peel and pith, subtle white blossoms. Understated, yet memorable, this humble Chablis is a gem.Tasted: 01 January 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices: BC 40.00 private wine shops Producer: Jean-Paul & Benoit DroinDistributors: Dream Wines
