Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalLate Bottled Vintage is a cross between barrel aged ports (tawny) and bottle aged ports (vintage), combining the best elements of both, with a few years each cask aging and bottling aging, prior to filtering and release. With LBV, you get the experience of vintage port, with out the need for lengthy bottle aging. Potent and spirited, with ripe blackberry, plum, ripe cassis on a smooth, sweet palate that rolls through the warming finish.
