Skaha Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOld World restraint on the nose slowly draws you into the glass where the savoury desert scrub, spice, and black fruit scents sit on a measured scent of oak (30 percent new barrels). Rich but with some elegance early on, it is packed full of spicy back fruit, licorice, sage, and espresso. Just a baby, but very well constructed and will emerge equally balanced another six to eight years down the road. Impressive start.
