Painted Rock Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Skaha Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAs good a year as 2016 is for red blends, this is cabernet sauvignon that in some ways may be fussier than pinot noir when it comes to ripening it north of BC's McIntyre Bluff. The 2016 is as juicy as a cabernet can get, before a savoury resiny, jalapeno, menthol attack kicks in. The tannin is well managed, but this wine will need time in the bottle to get to its final resting place. If you are a California fan, it will challenge you. At the moment this is more of a roast lamb wine.Tasted: 21 January 2019Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
