Trimbach Riesling 2017
Alsace, FranceThe Trimbachs are 12th generation growers/producers, with a family style consistently structured, fruity, and elegant. Brothers Pierre and Jean Trimbach select the plots for this larger production riesling each year, fermenting the grapes in stainless and concrete, and preventing MLF so the acidity is as crisp and shining as can be. Wet stone, white grapefruit, yeasty lees run quickly along the narrow palate, dry, taut and unyielding, to a dry, stony, lime sherbet finish. Structure this has, with enough plumping citrus and lees to be accessible.
