Trimbach Riesling 2001
Alsace, FranceThe House of Trimbach was established in 1626 and is now being run by the 12th generation of the family, Pierre and Jean. The nose is marked by chalky mineral, citrus rind and buttery lees aromas with apple skin and some peachy floral hints. Dry, round, elegant style with big slatey mineral, apple skin flavours with some buttery citrus on the finish. Crisp and well balanced but definitely a touch austere.
