Quails' Gate Late Harvest Botrytis Affected Optima 2018

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis late harvest optima (the grape) was affected by botrytis, making it BC's kin to Sauternes. This was fermented and aged in oak. Honey, lime blossom, orange curd, soap, and golden raisins rule the very sweet palate (near 100 g/l RS), while a thin line of acidity struggles to carry the weight. Much simpler than the last vintage. Chill well and drink now.Tasted: 15 September 2019Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
