Quails' Gate Late Harvest Botrytis Affected Optima 2013

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis stunning late harvest TBA (totally botrytis affected) wine is BC's closest kin to Sauternes. Notes of flint, ashes, peach fuzz and honeycomb entice to a rich and layered palate of ripe and dried apricot, lemon curd, marmalade and golden raisins. The waxy palate is satisfyingly complete and deftly balanced between intense sweetness, herbal savouriness and buoyant acidity. You'll taste this wine long after the last sip, courtesy of its exceptionally lengthy finish.Tasted: 21 March 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
