Mission Hill Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA combination of Oliver (68 percent) and Osoyoos (32 percent) estate fruit, this cabernet sauvignon was aged in French and American oak for 14 months, of which 25 percent was new. An attractive nose of juicy blackberry and subtle sweet herbs shows through, with some dill from the American oak. There isn't the same intensity or expected concentration on the palate, and the finish dries out without persistent fruit. Varietally accurate, though this has taken a big step up in price over the last two years and isn't quite the same value it once was.Tasted: 21 July 2019Tasted by: Geoffrey Moss MWPrices: BC 36.99 BCLS Producer: Mission Hill Family EstateDistributors: Mark Anthony Wines and Spirits
