M. Chapoutier Les Vignes de Bila-Haut Blanc 2017
Côtes du Roussillon, Roussillon, Sud de France, FranceThe Blanc is a Roussillon blend of grenache blanc, roussanne, marsanne, and macabeu from vines spread across the limestone, clay, and gneiss in the Agly Valley, as well as granite soils at higher, later ripening sites (at 500 metres). I love the lean, watery texture that brings freshness with notes of citrus, pear, lemongrass, and quince. Chill this and serve it on the patio with just about anything you desire; the Chapoutier team suggests stuffed squids or chicken and apricot tagine. Super value here.Tasted: 16 October 2019Tasted by: Prices:BC | $17.99 | 750ml | BCLS |
