M. Chapoutier Les Vignes de Bila-Haut Blanc 2013

Côtes du Roussillon, Roussillon, Sud de France, FranceA Chapoutier hallmark is to make affordable wines with the same precision as his highly awarded Northern Rhone labels. It is certainly the case with Bila-Haut Blanc grown on stony terraces with black and brown schist, gneiss, limestone and chalk in the south of France. Expect a seamless mix of grenache blanc, grenache gris and macabeu that spills onto the palate with citrus, quince and pear notes marked with mineral, apricot dusted in garrigue. It hard not to like the juicy, limey flavoured finished either. The perfect seafood wine.Tasted: 11 February 2015Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
