Black Hills Carmenere 2014

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFresh ground black pepper over fire roasted asparagus, once this full-bodied red opens in the glass it impresses with its powerful aromatics. A rarity for BC, this Carmenere is sourced from Black Hills' Oliver estate vineyards. Inky black cherry, blackberry and cassis is balanced out by fresh acidity and complexed by earthy tobacco, roasted tomatoes and subtle tar, and buffered by ripe, ample tannins. Drinking well now, this will continue to knit with short term cellaring.Tasted: 27 June 2016Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
