Blue Mountain Reserve Pinot Gris 2012

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis is the first time I have has a chance to taste the 2012 Reserve and I’m glad I did. Pinot gris is a variety a lot of wine critics justifiably run from but do not fear the BMR. With some 30% fermented in French oak and aged 60 months it’s hard to pass up this wine at dinner. Smoky, spicy, nutty but all in modest amounts. We love the balance here and the citrus lined pear fruit with a dusting of minerality. I had this with classic Milanese veal piccata; and it was a perfect match.Tasted: 25 May 2016Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
