CedarCreek Pinot Gris 2014
British Columbia, CanadaHarvested over a month from September 22 to October 20 the 2014 gris is both tank (87) and barrel (13) fermented. The fruit comes off their east Kelowna, Upper CedarCreek Vineyard. Love the fresh vibrancy to the concentrated palate. This year only five grams of residual sugar made it into the blend, and the finished wine is better for it. Love the pear, orange zest, almond, white peach and brisk acidity, all bathed in a savoury dried herb and lemon peel finish and buoyed by a pillow of fine, creamy lees. Chicken, halibut or mussels will all work, and soak up some of the warmth on the 13.9 percent finish.Tasted: 12 February 2016Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Treve RingPrices:BC | $17.79 | 750ml | BCLS |
