Concha y Toro Terrunyo Entre Cordilleras Block 27 Carmenere Puemo Vineyard 2011

Puemo, Valle del Cachapoal, Valle del Rapel, Region del Valle Central, ChileConcha Y Toro continues its carmenère obsession in Puemo with what is in effect the second label of the Carmín del Peumo. Big, rich, dense and yet fresh this is one impressive carmenère that is an obvious bump up from the CyT Marques de Casa Concha. The palate is a mix of peppery, dried herbs and chocolate with a little heat in the back end. There’s some acidity to support all the weight and heft but this needs time in the bottle or a big chunk of meat.Tasted: 27 July 2015Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
