Puemo, Valle del Cachapoal, Valle del Rapel, Region del Valle Central, ChileMost would agree Terrunyo Block 27 Carmenère is special but this wine has something more. Only 2400 bottles bear the Lot No. 1 moniker, a Limited Edition selection from the heart of Peumo. This wine is all the better for only six months in wood playing up its fresh floral notes and cool blue fruit. The attack is warm and spicy with fine black cherry fruit tobacco and chocolate notes, edging toward a more elegant presentation. The finish is long an intense sporting dries herbs and forest floor notes. Very Bolgheri-like to this taster. Think lamb and think big or wait a decade for what should be an extraordinary bottle.
