Clos de los Siete 2012
Valle de Uco, Tunuyán, Central Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaThis well know blend is made from a mix of wine fruit grown by all the partners involved in the Clos de la Siete Bordeaux project at Vista Flores in the southern Uco Valley. The blend is organized by Michel Rolland, the owner of Bodega Mariflor. The blend is 57/18/14/9/ malbec, merlot cabernet sauvignon and syrah all aged in used French oak. The nose is expressive with juicy mid-weight black fruit flavours with just the right dusting oak. It’s dense but there is harmony and balance here. More elegance than you think makes it this very attractive. This is an ideal wine for a steak and chimichurri sauce. Clearly one of the best Clos de la Siete vintages we have tasted.Tasted: 08 December 2015Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $22.49 | 750ml | BCLS |
