Clos du Soleil Fumé Blanc 2014

Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Similkameen and sauvignon blanc may be the best wine match in BC and the ‘Fumé Blanc’ at Clos du Soleil's is a good example. Spiked with a dash of sémillon (12 percent) the nose is bright the fruit is ripe with big notes of gooseberry, passion fruit and lime, not quite tropical but showing layers of fruit including some pineapple and ripe grapefruit and some pleasant but unobtrusive oak. Rotisserie chicken, goat cheese and or mussels are work here.Tasted: 05 May 2015Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
