Quinta do Crasto Douro Vinho Tinto Reserva Old Vines 2009
Douro Superior, Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalFrom this legendary estate in the Douro comes this 70 year old field blend of more than 40 local varieties. Layers of bacon and savoury meats over black fruit and waves of stony graphite. Structured touring tannins prop up the finessed and elegant fruit - confident wild blackberries, cassis, plum and alluring black flowers. Dense and powerful, starting to (thankfully) mellow with time, but will still hold for the next decade.Tasted: 16 March 2015Tasted by: Prices:
