Wild Goose Red Horizon Meritage 2011

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaWild Goose gets the texture right in this 55/55/25/ merlot, cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot but the blend lacks the phenolic ripeness. The attack is rich and full with supple textures while the fruit is a mix of cranberry/sour cherry with a savoury undercurrent. Time in bottle will help but so will riper tannins. Serve now with a grilled steak for best results.Tasted: 31 January 2015Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
