Maverick Estate Winery Rubicon 2012
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAll grapes from the Golden Mile Bench were fermented naturally and on the stems the blend is 65/25/15 syrah, cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon. The nose is distinctly spicy and savoury with bits of pepper, cloves and cherry cola. The syrah shine here almost asking for a little less cabernet. Rich black fruits with a briary, peppery under current, dried herbs (garrigue) and smoked meat notes.
