Piedmont, ItalyBig earthy, cherry, prune, barnyard nose with bits of sweaty saddle leather, smoked meat and strong tarry notes. Fresh, dry, juicy, elegant but slightly tannic palate with tarry, smoky, cherry, liquorice root, leather, coffee and tobacco flavours. Good fruit and intensity on the palate but a bit rustic in the aromatics.
