Batasiolo Barolo

Batasiolo Barolo 2009

Piedmont, ItalyBig earthy, cherry, prune, barnyard nose with bits of sweaty saddle leather, smoked meat and strong tarry notes. Fresh, dry, juicy, elegant but slightly tannic palate with tarry, smoky, cherry, liquorice root, leather, coffee and tobacco flavours. Good fruit and intensity on the palate but a bit rustic in the aromatics. Best with mushroom dishes.Tasted: 08 April 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices: BC 36.00 specialty listing AB 34.00 private wine shops ON 30.00 NB 38.00 QC 30.00 Producer: Beni di BatasioloDistributors: Charton-Hobbs
