Torres Grans Muralles 2008
Conca de Barbera, Catalunya (Catalonia Cataluña), SpainIn '08 the mix is cariñena, garnacha, garró, monastrell and samsó aged for 28 days on the skin. At 15 per cent alcohol the structure is rich but not overpowering and after 18 months in French Troncais oak it has a refined demeanour. The colour is super dark the nose a fragrant mix of black fruits and cherries. The palate is equally rich and youthful with fine grained tannins, soft, silky, stony fruit spiked with resin and dried herbs. A warm Mediterranean style red that would be perfect with a piece of grilled lamb.Tasted: 01 December 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $100.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Pacific Wines & Spirits |
