Tuscany, ItalyThe '09 Villa Antinori is a 55/25/15/5/% sangiovese/cabernet sauvignon/merlot/syrah. The blend spend 12 months in large Hungarian, French and American oak and another eight months in bottle. The nose is a mix of resiny, leafy savoury floral fruits with minty cherry cocoa flavours. The finish is rustic with peppery rustic tannins. Needs a couple of years in bottle to come together.
