Chester-Kidder Red Blend 2007
Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesLove the restrained tobacco, cedar, peppery, cassis jam, vanilla nose flecked with coffee, black olive, savoury, carrot top and celery salt. The attack is full and smooth on the palate with fine tannins and good acidity and rich vanilla, coffee, pepper, tobacco, blackberry jam/cassis flavours with bits of menthol, meat, leather and curry. The finish is long, warm and full with some youthful tannin yet to shed. Give this another three to five years in bottle or serve now with roasted meat.
