Penfolds Shiraz Kalimna Bin 28 2007

South Australia, AustraliaSpicy, smoky, graphite, licorice, chocolate, peppery, pruny, black cherry, saddle leather, light rooty, cola aromas. Ripe, rich, dry, tight palate with some youthful tannins and fresh acidity. Very warm with blueberry, blackberry, liquorice, vanilla, coffee, cola, rooty, graphite flavours. Finish has some black tea tannins at the end. Consistent with the last version with a somewhat light mid-palate. Needs 4-5 years to soften out. A classic with lamb chops.Tasted: 28 August 2010Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
