Ridge Geyserville 2008

Sonoma County, California, United StatesPrimarily a field blend of old vines with mostly zinfandel (72%) and additions of carignan (20%), petite syrah and mataro. Bright spicy, black berry, boysenberry, vanilla, peppery, barnyard, leather, smoky, jammy aromas. Ripe, round, rich, fresh and juicy but warm with light, grainy tannins. Bright palate with vanilla, black cherry, boysenberry, licorice, chocolate, garrigue, chalky, mineral falvours. Great fruit and intensity but fresh despite the warmth. Will age well for the next 5-12 years.Tasted: 23 June 2010Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
