Ridge Geyserville 2005
Sonoma County, California, United StatesThis is the 40th vintage of this complex blend of zinfandel, carignane, petite sirah and mataro. Look for huge black cherry jam, blackberry, spicy, floral, vanilla, briar, violet, tobacco and licorice aromas. Rich, round, ripe, slightly tannic palate with good concentration. Big peppery, briar, strawberry jam, blackberry, licorice, resin, spicy, cardamom and vanilla flavours. Young and concentrated with excellent fruit, this needs 3-5 years, but is delicious now.Tasted: 30 July 2007Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:AB | $33.00 | 750ml | fine wine shops |
