Mission Hill Reserve Merlot 2007
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAttractive southern Okanagan savoury nose with bits of coffee, blackberry, balsamic, tobacco and vanilla aromas. The entry is supple and sleek with light tannins and good acidity balance. Mocha, peppery, coffee, black cherry, plum fruit dominates the palate with some smoky, saddle leather notes and savoury, green olive on the finish. Appears close to maturity so don't be afraid to crack a bottle with a steak or a piece of roast beef. One of the best yet in the 'Reserve' series.Tasted: 11 March 2010Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:ON | $23.15 | 750ml | consignment - Mark Anthony Brands |
